I was spoiled for a week having Elliott around. When he visits I feel like a tourist, driving around Southern California, seeing the sites and eating amazing meals. Even though we had been before, the weather was so beautiful we took a trip back to Santa Monica and walked around the pier and the 3rd Street Promenade. I snapped this picture while we were watching a dolphin frolicking in the waves. It's makes me laugh that we are such similar taste. Whenever we go into J.Crew we know always can tell what the other is going to like. I have my eye on a pair of striped Sperrys for J.Crew with a pink sole. He almost bought them for me for Valentine's Day. He's only been gone for 2 days, but I miss him like crazy already. Only 26 days till we reunite in CT though and I can't wait for the fun Spring Break will bring.

Ahoy!
At the Grove this week with Elliott I saw this necklace on a mannequin with a swim coverup and had to have it. It was the last one in the store and the manager was sweet enough to take it down for me. Since it had no price tag and was nowhere to be found online, he gave me the necklace for $22.50. Such a steal! I was so excited. I have no idea why anchors fascinate me so much, but I love adding some nautical to my look. Thank you, J.Crew at the Grove for totally making my day with this necklace!

Will You Be My Valentine
Valentine's Day is for the people you love, not just your boyfriend or husband. When I didn't have a romantic Valentine in college my three best friends and I would smuggle pints of ice cream into the movies and spend February 14th with the best Valentines- Ben, Jerry and each other.
Heres to the men who love us, the losers who lost us, and the lucky bastards who get to meet us.
These 3 girls are the loves of my life and any guy would be lucky to be number 4. -SATC
Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you remembered to show your love to all the loves of your life today!

Weekend Recap
Last weekend was great. I got to spend time with good friends and really enjoyed myself. On Friday night we went to see Identity Theft. It was hilarious. We thought the theater would be packed because of the rain and it was opening night, but when we walked in it was completely empty. It's always so much nicer to sit through a movie when the theater isn't crowded and loud. On Saturday night we decided it was super necessary to go out and hit The Griffin for mystery shots. We have no idea what they were, but it was $4 of pure deliciousness. After that we went to my new favorite bar downtown, Onyx. The atmosphere was perfect- great lighting and decor, young and hip crowd and a cover band playing jazzy versions of Katy Perry, Maroon 5 and Bruno Mars. Kendall and Kiran had fancy cocktails, but I couldn't resist a glass of my beloved Sea Glass Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara. We also split spicy garlic fries which were delicious. I give it 5 stars. If you are looking for someplace classy and chill downtown Onyx is a must. On Sunday I got the cutest pair of boyfriend jeans from Old Navy. I can sometimes be really loyal to a few stores, but I am finding more and more that when I venture outside my normal shopping stops I can actually score some really great finds. I am super excited to pair these jeans with heels and a button down or cardigan for a casual, but put together look.
On a completely unrelated note, I had a pretty awful day. I am putting it past me now. I just want to say how grateful I am for the incredibly supportive people in my life. When I played hockey in high school after really rough losses my coach would make the bus driver stop at McDonald's to get us french fries. He would literally go in and order 25 small fries. You'd think maybe he would be mad that we didn't play hard enough or give our all, but instead he recognized how we had busted out butts and sometimes that just doesn't pay off. On my way home I stopped through the McDonald's drive thru to get some french fries and thought of Freddie. He passed away a few years ago, but sometimes in weird moments like this or when I go to a hockey game, or the rare moment I actually have a chance to get on the ice myself, I think of him. People come into our lives for different reasons and today I just needed to think of Freddie and eat some french fries. RIP FG <3

Hair Makeover
I saw this picture of SJP and I am really obsessed with her hair color. I feel like lately I am stuck in a hair rut and I really need a change. Could I pull this off? I feel like I want to try.
