C.Wonder

It isn't news that I love Courtney Kerr. I think her style is amazing and she was downright hysterical on the show Most Eligible Dallas on Bravo. I am so excited for her solo show coming out this summer. A few days ago she posted on her blog about attending an event for C.Wonder. I had never heard of the company and didn't think much of it until I was planning a trip to Fashion Island in Newport Beach yesterday and the store popped up on the directory. I perused the website and loved all of the colorful, preppy styles, but nothing could have prepared me for how much I would love the store!

Shopping at C. Wonder is like a color overload. The esthetic is very east coast prepster so I was surprised to find a store like this in Southern California. I was not surprised, however, to hear that their flagship is in SoHo and they have popups all over the Hamptons these days. With 18 stores across the country and more opening soon, I can tell this brand is going to get really popular. I am pretty excited to keep it my little secret for awhile though.

As soon as I walked in I spotted this adorable striped blazer. I have seen a number of different ones around this season but this one really stuck out to me with its little details. Even better, it was 50% off sale and ended up costing me under $40. I was pumped. I also snagged a pair of jeans on sale for under $30. The fit and rise was perfect. They were super flattering and made me look like an adult, but aren't mom jeans. Other than at J.Crew I find it really hard to find good fitting jeans that really sit well on the hips and don't ride up and gap in the back. I am definitely a believer in this brand because they nailed their denim and that to me is a mark of greatness.

Another perfectly preppy thing the store offers is the ability to make many of their products your own. They will monogram a variety of items for just $10 and usually while you wait (or in our case continue to shop the mall). I decided to get a new summer bag and have my initials put on it. They have lots of thread colors and monogram styles to choose from an you can instantly make a piece totally your own.

The tote reminds me a little of a Longchamp but the handles seemed sturdier and I like the shape better. I got a gold monogram of my initials on the back. I think this is going to be a perfect summer staple and I can happily see myself investing in some of their other monogram pieces in the future. C. Wonder, you have completely won me over. I am in preppy girl heaven!
